no fear - i am on a self-proclaimed trial basis with the blog-world

i am not exactly sure how i feel about this. i kind of promised myself that i was not the blogging type (not that i can define all of you who do.) but i think when i realized that i was sifting thru a couple of blogs, catching up on some of "old friend's" lives -- i realized that it wasn't quite fair to expect access to a one-way window. for example, christin wright (sorry i know that you aren't wright anymore...) has no idea that i ran across her blog the other day. and josh and kari, and mandy, and justin and jes, etc, etc. i feel sometimes like i look into these windows, without real permission, and without real cost to myself because i keep the changes in my life behind the mirror. hmmm. i have enjoyed the clips here and there. i have thought of many of my friends from indiana wesleyan -- and i tell stories that include many of you frequently. things change. we change. but the past is always common ground shared between us.

soo... here goes. i live in chattanooga now. actually, i have been in shelbyville with my parents for a few wks because i was doing a clinical affiliation for PT school in murfeesboro -- driving distance from my parents. i am heading back to chattanooga to do an 8-wk clinical at a large children's hospital there. i graduate next may.

the other big things -- my dad got really sick last fall... and that is a major understatement. i may post some pictures of him during that time later (some of you who know my dad will be shocked). he is doing better following a pretty major surgery at the very end of october. my sister got married a few days later... in november and moved to monterrey, mexico. she is six and a half months pregnant -- fighting a daily war against the 115 degree weather. her husband is absolutely great, and they plan to move to the states, hopefully soon. my older brother has been living in and out of germany. he is back and heading to grad school at UTK this fall. dave is doing fine.... huge and all grown up, but fine. he is at MTSU. mom's good. she misses jess (and is super jealous that she can't be an ever-present grandmother/babysitter), but other than that good.

okay, so i am already starting to regret this whole blog-thing. i am afraid that i will be one of those once-in-a-blue-moon bloggers. i can't see myself being super failthful at this. but i might try. funny thing is, if i remember to post something, the chances of me remembering NADYEZHDA is downright ridiculous. not sure what i was thinking. for those of you who care, and don't want to expend the effort to figure it out on your own -- it means hope in russian or "to hope"... of course phonetically changed over (thanks to charlie) to our english alphabet.

okay. 'nough said for now.
