beautiful ruins

went on a search saturday for joshua radin.

found him after three stops, hidden behind a random someone at barnes and noble.

his whispered words hid the sounds of my broken [hissing] sunroof on my drive home from franklin. it was a nice drive. perfect 78 degrees. sunny. camera on my lap. lifted it once to take a picture of a fallen barn. for years that enormous barn was one of my favorites on the twisting tennessee roads. a few months ago, i gulped, turning a corner of cox road on my way to franklin. green fields lining the left side of the road, i looked right to see only a pile of gray with one corner still standing. it was a sad day to see it crumbled. for as long as i can remember it stood there strongly. now it was in ruins.

the cd and that broken barn made so much sense to me.
