why stir up calm waters?
just talked to someone from the past. familiar voice. familiar awkardness.
some things are better left unsaid, unexplained, un-misunderstood. there is a reason why a cliche phrase exists about leaving things from the past in the past.
some things are so close to right that they repel as wrong...
i think that being misunderstood is one of the truly most awful feelings. you know, there is a very humbling example of this in the Bible when it says that Jesus was led like a lamb to the slaughter -- silent -- like a lamb before shearers -- silent. How misunderstood was He? He was the Lion of Judah. the Beginning and the End. the Kind of all Kings. the Lord of Lords, but was being tried and convicted and sentenced to death like a criminal. He was rescuing from death and offering Life even to those who were sending him to death.
... and he was silent.
like i said, humbling.
i hate being misunderstood. and i want so badly for someone to stand up and defend me sometimes. defend my character, my honor, my virtue. and how stupid of me.
